You can check in at home from 3:00 pm in complete autonomy.

You can not arrive earlier in the apartment because of the cleaning team will be working to welcome you in the best conditions.

Finally, don’t forget to pick-up the keys before goint to the flat.

Pick-up the keys

You have to follow a three step procedure:

1. Go to the reception of the Ibis Budget Hotel located at 46 Rue Sainte, 13001 Marseille. The hotel is open 24/7 and is a 4 minute walk from the flat.

2. Provide your code to the hotel receptionist. I will send you your code (valid from 3:00 pm) by message the day before your arrival.

3. Collect the keys. You can now reach the flat.

Flat address

The flat is located in the pedestrian zone (next to the Opera) at 55 Rue Francis Davso, 13001 Marseille (on the second floor of the building).

Flat access

The set of keys you collected at the Ibis Hotel contains a VIGIK badge (or a large key) for the building door and a second key for the flat door.

Once you entered the faded lobby of the building, you can switch on the staircase lights. The switch is immediately to your left. Please close the door behind you to keep calm in the building.

The flat is on the second floor (first door on the left). My first name “Thomas” is written on the front door.

You can now find all the useful information about the flat and the facilities.

Parking

Do you need to park your car? I suggest you to park safely in the Estienne d’Orves public pay car park (maximum height < 1.90 m). The closed parking (open 24/7) is located 150 meters from the flat.

The nearest parking access ramp to the flat is located at 14 Cours Jean Ballard, 13001 Marseille. A second access ramp is located at Place aux Huiles, 13001 Marseille. Finally, take the pedestrian exit « Cours Jean Ballard ».

The rate (on the 1st of may 2024) is 18.20 euros for 24 hours of parking (it is the cheapest car park in the city centre). Find all the online official information.

For vehicles with a greater height (up to 2.40 m), please contact the Opera parking or the Rome parking.

Information

> On arrival, you will find a bath towel per person, a bath mat, a kitchen towel, the bed linen and the basic consumables to start your stay.

> It is forbidden to remove household linen from the apartment (including the bath towels).

> Except a special request, if you book the flat for one or two people, the bed linen for the sofa is not provided.

> To have a good night’s sleep, I advise you to make sure that each window (tilt and turn) is closed properly.

> Unless contra-indicated by the City of Marseille, tap water is safe to drink.

> There may be an occasional bad smell in the bathroom. This inconvenience comes from the city’s sewage system. Rest assured, the bathroom is disinfected before your arrival.

> Furthermore, I invite you to consult the internal rules and my recommendations for sorting and disposal of your waste.

WiFi

Find information to connect for free on the WiFi (very high speed):

WiFi does not work? Don’t panic, I invite you to check that the internet box (located under the desk) is powered (the plug may have been unplugged by mistake). If the problem persists, I suggest you to unplug the electrical plug from the internet box and then plug it back in to reset the internet connection.

TV & Netflix

You have free access to all the TV channels offered by the access provider (Free) as well as to the Netflix service (video on demand).

You need both remote controls (TV and Free) to access TV and/or Netflix. You need to switch on the TV and then the TV box.

The TV does not work? This problem may occur due to an update of the TV box or an unplugged electrical outlet. The easiest way to solve this problem is to unplug and replug the TV box’s electrical socket located under the TV. Finally, you can also check that the HDMI cable between the Free TV box and the TV (the socket on the right-hand side) is properly connected.

Wireless speaker

Find information to connect (via bluetooth) your device to the Marshall speaker to listen to your favourite playlists (without disturbing the neighbours).

When you first connect: you need to follow the four-step procedure

1) On the speaker: Select Bluetooth as the source by pressing the « Source » button to navigate between input sources

2) On the speaker: Press and hold the « Source » button for 2 seconds. The Bluetooth indicator will start flashing

3) On your smartphone: Activate Bluetooth

4) On your smartphone: Select the speaker from the list of available devices.

Sleeping accommodation

The flat is equipped with two beds in the following locations:

Bedroom:

A queen size bed (160 x 200) for two people, the bed is made on your arrival. However, in summer, the duvet is not put on the bed. You can put it on at your convenience. The duvet is stored in the blue box or in the wall cupboard (next to the bathroom door).

Living room:

A sofa bed (140 x 200) for two people. Here is a tutorial video showing you how to unfold the sofa. You will find the cushions, mattress protector and duvet in the sofa box. The bed linen (sheet, duvet cover and pillowcases) is usually placed on the blue box in the bedroom (next to the bathroom door).

Except special request, if you book the flat for one or two people, bed linen for the sofa is not provided.

Fans

> Two fans (Dyson AM07 model) are in the apartment (bedroom and living room). The remote control is magnetized on the upper part of the fan. If needed, you can consult the user guide.

> Two air movers (Exhale model) are available for your comfort. The wall control for the fan in the living room is located next to the entrance door whereas the wall control in the bedroom is located next to the bathroom door.

Below are the operating instructions for the wall control of each fan. Please note that in very hot weather, it is recommended to set the speed to position 6.

Dishwasher

Find all the information to use the dishwasher (located next to the oven), here are the steps to follow:

1) Open the dishwasher door

2) Fill the dishwasher

3) Put a dose of washing liquid (stored under the sink) in the compartment reserved

4) Switch on the dishwasher with the « On / Off » button (number 1 on the diagram)

5) Select the wash programme by successively pressing the « P » button (number 2 on the diagram)

〉Programme 3: Intensive wash (very dirty dishes) – duration 2h50

〉Programme 4: Standard wash (dirty dishes) – duration 1h25

〉Program 6: Quick wash (not so dirty dishes) – duration 0h30

6) Press the « Start/Pause » button (number 13 on the diagram)

7) Close the dishwasher door (within 4 seconds of starting the wash programme)

Is the dishwasher not working? Is a light on? It may miss salt or rinse aid (the products are stored under the sink). For more details, you can consult the user guide.

Washing machine

Need to do some laundry? No problem, you can use the washing machine in the bathroom, you will find some detergent in the cabinet next to it (behind the wicker basket). If needed, you can consult the user guide.

⇒ To avoid backflow through the shower drain when the washing machine is running:
– Do not use the shower
– Close the shower cubicle
(to hold water if needed)

You will also find a folding clothesline in the wall cupboard in the bedroom.

Baby

Are you staying with your baby? For your convenience, I lend you a baby high chair and a travel cot in 120 x 60 (with its extra-thin mattress supplied as standard). You can watch this video if you need support to open and/or close the cot. These items are stored in the bedroom wall cupboard.

Waste

Thank you for sorting your waste (household waste, packaging and glass) and for depositing it in the correct container located on Francis Davso street, against the wall of the Opera. It’s simple and you contribute to the recycling of your waste.

Heaters

The flat is equipped with efficient electric heaters. Each room has a heating system to provide you with all the comfort you need during your stay. However, I would request you to use them sparingly to avoid wasting energy. « Energy is our future, let’s save it! »

Lighting

The flat is equipped with LED bulbs to limit energy consumption. Despite the low consumption of these bulbs, please do not leave the flat with the light on.

Amenities

Do you need something? Don’t worry, you’ll find what you’re looking for just a few steps from the apartment. You are located in the heart of Marseille’s historic city centre, close to all transport networks and amenities.

Your shops (bakeries, butchers, chemists, banks, mini-markets, restaurants, etc.) are located on Francis Davso street or in the surrounding area.

The SPAR mini-market located at 75 Rue Francis Davso is open every day from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm.

> Looking for a restaurant to enjoy a bouillabaisse? I recommend to go to Chez Fonfon (in the Vallon des Auffes) or Chez Michel (opposite the Plage des Catalans).

> Here are a few places (bars and/or restaurants) I like to go:

> Looking for the famous marseille soap? I recommend La Savonnerie de la Licorne on the Cours Julien. The workshop is open every day except Sunday.

> The CityPass: a must for visiting Marseille! It is the best way to discover and visit the city at your own pace. Not only transport, but also museums, culture and leisure activities, with an all-inclusive package available for 24, 48 or 72 hours.

> Find online information you need (CityPass, etc.) for your visits and activities on the Marseille Tourist Office or at their offices at 11 La Canebière, 13001 Marseille (5 minutes by foot from the flat).

Departure time

You have to leave the flat before 10.30 am on your departure day. You check out in complete autonomy.

You can not leave later because of the cleaning team comes at 10.30 am.

Before leaving the flat, please make sure to respect the departure guidelines. Don’t forget to drop off the keys at the Ibis Budget Hotel reception.

Guidelines before leaving

Before leaving the flat, please respect the following rules:

〉Group the household linen
〉Take out the bins (waste)
〉Tidy up the flat
〉Empty the fridge
〉Wash your dishes (dishwasher)

〉Close the windows
〉Lock the door

Please, leave the flat in the same state as you found it when you arrived.

Finally, please stick to the departure time and drop off the keys at the Ibis Budget Hotel reception.

On the departure day, please drop off the keys before 11:00 am at the Ibis Budget Hotel reception (open 24/7) located at 46 Rue Sainte, 13001 Marseille (a 4 minute walk from the flat). Please do not forget to respect the departure time.

Please note: if you forget or you are late to drop off the keys, 100 euros will be retained from your deposit.
